Card of the Day: 2007 Topps Turkey Red Relics Ervin Santana

It turns out Ervin Santana is human (although concern is still high on Cliff Lee and Brandon Webb).

While his record is still perfect, Santana did have a misstep against the Rays yesterday, nearly picking up a loss.

The duo of Joe Saunders and Santana has propelled the Angels to the top of the AL West as well as putting their cards on the collector's map.

The last couple of years, Santana was a guy most collectors knew, but also a guy no one paid any attention too. This season, it is a much different story.

Santana's autographs are his hottest sellers with rarer versions selling in the $15-$20 range with more common autos going for around $10.

A 2004 Bowman Red Ink auto /25 recently brought in $113 while a Bowman Chrome Gold Refractor Auto sold for $112. A Topps Sterling Letterman Patch/Auto 1/1 was sold for a best offer of $66.

Saunders has never had any notoriety among collectors, but his 2001 and 2002 rookie cards are now getting a significant amount of recognition from collectors. His rookie autographs are going for around $10-$12 and regular autographs around $3-$5.
