Jonathon Papelbon is almost always a sure thing for the Red Sox in the ninth. However, the last two times out, he has been anything but.
On Wednesday, a Julio Lugo error led to a Placido Polanco walk-off single off Papelbon. Yesterday, Papelbon blew it himself after a single, sac fly, walk, stolen base, and a Mike Lamb walk-off single.
I'm not too concerned with Papelbon or his cards after these two incidents. If he keeps it up, then collectors (and the Red Sox) should be concerned.
