Card of the Day: 2003 Bowman Chrome Refractor Autograph Ben Francisco
Just one day after Ben Francisco was robbed of a three run home run, he came back and showed the umpire who's boss.
On Friday night, Francisco hit what should have been a three run shot off the railing in left field, but he had to settle for a double after the umpires huddled up and made the wrong call.
On Saturday, Francisco sought revenge and slammed another three run homer to almost the same spot in the outfield. This time though, it clearly cleared the fence.
Francisco is the one strong hitter on the Indians right now and has put up some staggering numbers since coming up to the Tribe just two weeks ago.
In just 19 games, Francisco has hit .365 with ten doubles.
I know I am a Cleveland fan, but I think this guy is for real. His swing is perfect and he can hit for singles or for doubles and homers. He's also fast and has an arm that is capable of leading the league in outfield assists.
Once the Indians finally get it rolling, you may be hearing the name Ben Francisco a lot more.
And just as a side note, have you ever seen a nicer signature from a rookie?
