Beckett's Basketball Blunder

I'm no basketball card expert, but I did notice something peculiar about the new Beckett Basketball Hot List.

The #1 card on the Hot List just didn't fit. I mean, why would Kevin Durant's Topps Chrome rookie card be number one amidst the playoffs?

However, further reading showed that the 2005-06 SP Authentic Auto Chris Paul RC was the number one card. But at the same time, the number three card was listed and pictured as the same Monta Ellis card.

So, what exactly happened?

What happened was that last month's hot list photos were coupled with the text for this month's hot list.

Beckett called their mistake an "air ball" and aren't sure if the error was caused during editorial, design or production.
