I was writing an article today about 2005 rookie cards and realized just how many stars came out with rookies that year.
Names like Prince Fielder, Justin Verlander, and Melky Cabrera among others. A name not too many people probably know is Geovany Soto, the Chicago Cubs catcher.
On the season, Soto is hitting .328 with 13 RBI and eight runs scored in 16 games.
As a catcher, there is always a bigger risk involved with investment, but Soto has shown signs of what could be. He reminds me of my man Victor Martinez a little bit.
