Every season, there are plenty of no-namers who make a name for themselves at the beginning of the year. People go crazy for their cards and then they go back to being no-namers. Chris Shelton anybody?
This season, Ryan Doumit is one of these players. However, Doumit has more upside than most of the players who would make this list.
With a .450 average, Doumit has terrorized pitching in his four games this season. Last season, he hit .274 in 83 games. So he is ahead of that pace right now, but I won't be surprised to see Doumit have better numbers by the end of the year.
Do I think he is worth investing in? Maybe short-term but not long-term.
