Card of the Day: 1961 Topps Chicago Cubs

While I can't speak for the 1961 Cubs team (or have the time to research it), the 2008 Cubs team is playing extra innings a lot.

Today, the Cubs are playing in their fourth extra innings game of the year. They are averaging one every four games That puts them on pace to play in 40 extra inning games.

Obviously that won't happen, but I can't really remember a time when there was this many at the beginning of the year.
